FULL SYRIA TRIP WITH ME?

I have travelled around Syria 3 times before.. In 2018, 2024 and 2026 and I really want to return with a new group.. I feel like it’s the completely right time to travel to the Republic of Syria in 2026 and 2027! Now we can finally get to experience a FREE Syria! Our Syria 2027 trip will be amazing!

This will be my 24th Gus1thego Expeditions and this time we will tour all around Syria.. Sounds cool? I’m glad to hear! This is going to be a trip of a lifetime and we will cover ALL of the best places of Syria.. And additionally we have Palmya, Idlib and Bosra for this special expedition, which are places I’m super excited about. Are you ready to explore with me and try the most amazing food and ancient, marvelous sites that are real blessings to your eyes?

FULL PROGRAMME

We are going to fly in from Istanbul with Turkish Airlines to Damascus. We will get our visas sorted when landing since all of my tour members will be pre-aprrove. Note that visa price is different from each nationality. Usually it can vary from 30 USD to 200 USD. However we will all get the visas on arrival. We will then check in to our 5 star hotel in the heart of Damascus.

After we get a little bit of rest we will start with the Damascus tour, which has an unparalleled history as one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, offering a tangible journey through ancient civilizations with its UNESCO-listed Old City, Umayyad Mosque, and biblical sites, alongside vibrant modern life in bustling souqs, trendy cafes, and rich Syrian culture, flavors, and legendary hospitality. It’s a unique blend of deep historical roots and contemporary energy, from Roman streets to modern boutiques. A super authentic and bustling place!

⛪ Day 2

– Maaloula, Krak De Chevaliers and Al Wadi

We will travel to the spectacular mountain village of Maaloula, one of the few places in the world where Aramaic, a language closely related to the one spoken by Jesus, is still spoken today. We will discover its ancient monasteries and fascinating Christian heritage before continuing to the magnificent Krak des Chevaliers, one of the world’s most impressive and best-preserved medieval Crusader castles! We will explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, admire its enormous fortifications and enjoy breathtaking views before heading into the beautiful green mountains and valleys of Al Wadi.

🌊 Day 3

– Latakia, Tartous & Arwad Island

We will discover a completely different side of Syria as we explore its beautiful Mediterranean coastline! We will visit the coastal city of Latakia, experience the seaside atmosphere of Tartous and take a boat trip to the fascinating Arwad Island, Syria’s only inhabited Mediterranean island. We will wander through its charming narrow streets, discover its ancient Phoenician history and experience traditional island life. After enjoying the Mediterranean atmosphere, we will continue our journey towards the legendary city of Aleppo!

🏛️ Day 4

– Aleppo

We will spend an incredible day discovering Aleppo, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on Earth and one of Syria’s most fascinating destinations! We will explore the magnificent Aleppo Citadel, wander through the famous ancient souks and admire the extraordinary architecture of its UNESCO-listed Old City. We will also witness how this historic city is rebuilding after years of conflict, meet friendly locals and discover why Aleppo has been such an important cultural and trading center for thousands of years. And of course, we will enjoy Aleppo’s legendary cuisine!

❤️ Day 5

– Aleppo, Idlib & Hama

We will continue exploring Aleppo before embarking on a fascinating excursion towards Idlib, a region that has played a major role in Syria’s recent history. We will discover another side of the country, learn about the challenges local communities have faced and gain a deeper understanding of Syria’s past and present. This will be a unique opportunity to experience Syria beyond what we normally see in the news. Subject to local conditions and access, we will explore selected areas before continuing towards the historic city of Hama.

🏜️ Day 6

– Hama & Palmyra

We will visit the beautiful city of Hama, famous for its enormous historic wooden waterwheels, known as norias, which have become one of Syria’s most iconic landmarks. From here, we will continue into the spectacular Syrian Desert to discover the legendary ancient city of Palmyra! Once one of the most important trading centers of the ancient world, Palmyra is home to extraordinary Roman ruins, monumental columns and magnificent archaeological treasures. We will explore the accessible remains of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by breathtaking desert landscapes, before returning towards Damascus.

🏛️ Day 7

– Bosra & Departure: A Spectacular Finale!

We will finish our unforgettable Syrian expedition with a visit to the magnificent ancient city of Bosra in southern Syria! We will discover its extraordinary Roman theatre, one of the largest and best-preserved Roman theatres in the world, and admire the impressive architecture of this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will explore the ancient surroundings and learn about Bosra’s fascinating history before returning to Damascus for our departure. After seven incredible days of history, culture, beautiful landscapes, delicious food and unforgettable encounters with the Syrian people, we will say goodbye to this extraordinary country with memories to last a lifetime! 🇸🇾❤️
