Itinerary
Day 0 (Aug 21) – Arrival in Przemyśl, Poland
Participants gather in the Polish border city of Przemyśl, where the tour officially begins the next day. Accommodation has to be arranged independently.

The easiest airports are:

Day 1 (Aug 22) – Crossing into Ukraine & Discovering Lviv

After breakfast we make our way across the Polish-Ukrainian border.
Depending on ticket availability and border conditions, we will cross either:
- as pedestrians before transferring onward, or
- by direct international train.
Upon arrival in Lviv, we check into our hotel before setting out on an afternoon walking tour of Ukraine’s cultural capital.
Dinner together in one of Lviv’s renowned restaurants.

Day 2 (Aug 23) – Lviv to Kyiv

The morning is dedicated to discovering more of Lviv, including areas beyond the historic centre and learning about the city’s important role throughout Ukrainian history.
In the afternoon we board one of Ukraine’s comfortable long-distance trains for the journey to Kyiv.
After arriving in the capital we transfer to our hotel before enjoying dinner together.

Day 3 (Aug 24) – Full Day Exploring Kyiv

Today is devoted entirely to Ukraine’s capital.
Our guided city tour explores both the city’s ancient heritage and its modern identity, including many of Kyiv’s most famous landmarks. Throughout the day we discuss how the city has transformed since 2022 and how daily life continues despite the ongoing war.
As an added highlight, our visit coincides with Ukraine’s Independence Day on 24 August, when Kyiv comes alive with commemorations, cultural events, and celebrations. This offers a unique opportunity to experience the country’s most important national holiday alongside the people of Ukraine.

Day 4 (Aug 25) – Irpin, Bucha & The Kyiv Siege


Today we travel to Kyiv’s western suburbs to better understand one of the most significant chapters of the early full-scale invasion.
Visiting Irpin, Bucha, and surrounding areas, we examine the events of the first month of the war, the defence of Kyiv, and the liberation of these communities.
The day is conducted respectfully and focuses on historical context, eyewitness accounts, and Ukraine’s ongoing recovery.
Return to Kyiv in the evening.
Overnight: Kyiv
Day 5 (Aug 26) – Return to Poland

In the morning we board the direct international train back to Przemyśl.
Arrival is expected during the afternoon/evening, where the tour concludes.
